MORNING SKY: Catherine Langlois' 2017 Wedding Gown Collection

Bridal • 5th Jul, 17 • 0 Comments

On a chilly day in February, my favourite Toronto wedding dress designer Catherine Langlois, invited me to do makeup for her latest collection at Graydon Hall Manor. This picturesque setting was perfect for her latest collection of modern yet classic, handmade wedding gowns called 'Morning Sky'.

Gathered along with me in the manor, were photographer Whitney Heard, bridal accsesories designer Antonia Akai-Casuccio, hairstyilst Ladylyn Gool and our models Haruko (Spot6management) and May (Plutino) and of course, renown designer Catherine Langlois and her 'petites mains', couturiere Karin Kiener.

Inspired by the pastel tones of the morning sky, this celestial inspired collection looked every bit like it's namesake- the tangible pillowiness of the silk, organza and handsewn lace -just so exquisite.

I have posted some of my favourite behind the scenes photos in this post, but to see Whitney's professional (i like to say 'real'!) photos, please visit my portfolio section and Catherine's website to know more about or place your order for a customized dress!

Early morning at the glam Graydon Hall manor!

My favourite flowers by Tina at Living Fresh!

Catherine's inspiring dresses!

Beautiful jewellery from "The Loved One"

Hairstylist Ladylyn putting the finishing touches on model May's hair.

Blushing bride perfection! Soft pastel tones to echo the softness of the collection..

I just caught Haruko in the hall in front of this gorgeous mirror for this behind the scenes shot!

Modelling looks really fun sometimes! What a pro that Haruko!

I love winter, esp. when working inside a castle!!

The realest deal behind the camera, professional photographer and friend Whitney Heard, working her magic with Haruko. Check ut her photos on my portfolio page from this shoot, they're so beautiful!

Pink and purple hair, don't care! Why not add a bit of soft pastel to the hair? Loved what happened here!

Bringing her to Mexico with me is a decision I am so glad I made. I felt confident and beautiful… and that feeling is just priceless!

I have never been disappointed with the outcome of her work. I always think of Maya when any event comes up, and recommend her with confidence to friends and family!"

  • "Maya is the only person who's ever been able to teach me how to actually do my own makeup myself like she had done it for me. The looks she created for me were amazing and diverse, but more important to me was that I could replicate it after she left."
